Local histories are written so that future generations will have a record of the development of their locality, and an understanding of the changes which have taken place through the years, and primarily to set down particular features of a particular parish which makes it unique in comparison to its neighbours. The first section give a very brief background of Castlebrack”s earliest history. The main text begins with stories of early families, some who had emigrated, others that have long since gone from Castlebrack. An effort has been made to put together primarily factual material some of which has not previously been published.
