Bill Jaffray on Tullamore
23th March '06 Bill Jaffray We are very much looking forward to the lecture from Bill Jaffray on his recollections of Tullamore which will be held at the Centre on the 23rd of March at 8.15p.m. The lecture is open to the public and all are welcome to attend and admission is free.

Bill will deal largely with the Patrick Street, Waterlane, Kilbride Street area of Tullamore in what, we hope will be the first of several talks on his recollections of Tullamore over a period of in excess of seventy years.

The lecture will be illustrated throughout and should prove of great interest to Tullamore people in particular.

27th April '06 The O'Molloys of County Offaly and beyond: looking at sources for the family from 1660 to the present day. Michael Byrne This illustrated talk on the sources has the advantage of being applicable to any Irish family surname and will be of particular interest to the O'Molloys of County Offaly and to a lesser extent in Ireland generally.

Canon O'Hanlon Lecture

This lecture was held recently and was given by Mr. Teddy Fennelly who has published a book on Canon O'Hanlon. It was a very useful lecture and we have saved it to CD for anyone who did not get to it and who wishes to look at it in the Centre. Canon O'Hanlon made a remarkable contribution to Irish history and a copy of Mr. Fennelly's book is available at the centre.
